The Equal Stages Black Theatre History Project raises awareness of the Legacy of Black UK Theatre + Creative Arts in relation to contemporary lived experience.

Our remit is to reach young, under-represented, disengaged audiences and empower young, Black/People of Colour in Theatre + the Performing & Creative Arts.

Equal Stages Black Theatre History Project brings together creative practice, archive material anddigital innovation.Working with actors, archivists and digital/social media talent, Equal Stages Digital Theatre explores exciting new ways of creating and reaching diverse audiences.

With Arts Council England funding, we are producing a series of new work and free educational resources around the works of Black British playwrights.
