We need Champions not Gatekeepers!
We launched Equal Stages in response to the frustration of watching diversity and inclusion in the United Kingdom turn into a version of Groundhog Day. For years now, the drive for equality in our society has often been a self-fulfilling cycle of consultations leading to initiatives leading to consultations leading to . . .
At the same time diversity and inclusion have become big business. Diversity reports, funded research, benchmarking, training consultants, workshops, awards, conferences – even summits – are commonplace. However in this heavily funded sector core issues of under-representation and unequal opportunity often remain the same.
There are still many missing voices, and we hope that Equal Stages will support those who are reshaping the future.
